Cooking Shows
The kitchen is where the magic happens!
The kitchen is a place common to every household and it is the base for domestic material processes. It is a space for small scale creation and production as well as a site for experimentation and collaboration. The cooking shows act as an analogy to building processes and production labour as kitchen tools are used to transmute material into delicious building blocks.
Things made in the kitchen are not meant to last. They facilitate connections, give pleasure, and then disappear. Through methods of cooking, blending, baking, stirring, crushing, conjuring, boiling, stewing, steaming, sizzling, scalding, scorching, broiling, brewing, combining, blanching, coddling and reassembling, the kitchen becomes a space for investigation as well as a laboratory of alchemical exploration.
